why we do it
bIG goD, little man
At Living Waters we operate by a simple maxim: Life works best when God is big and we are small. Unfortunately we live in a society where people are big and God is small. We will never trust a God who seems smaller than we are. We will never obey a God we do not trust. When we don’t obey God, life falls apart: relationships fail, fears rule, and sin wins.
This is why everything we do at Living Waters is designed to reset our perspective to its proper proportions, so we can learn to trust God again. To that end we offer:
-
Nature programs that provide close encounters not just with God’s creation, but with the God of creation – His wisdom and power. By the way, our nature programs set the standard for camp-based creation training for the entire nation.
-
Bible instruction that enables campers to explore the history of God’s faithfulness to us.
-
Service training that is designed to cultivate a heart of humility that places the interest of others above our own.

Salvation Through Christ
God created us to be in relationship with Him, however, sin has separated all people from our holy and perfect God. God was not willing to let us go so He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus walked on this earth living a holy and perfect life unlike any other person who has ever lived. That holy and perfect Messiah became the “sacrificial lamb” when he went to the cross to die for our sins. On the cross Jesus bore the full penalty for sin. He died, was buried and on the third day he rose again!
When we put our faith in Jesus we receive eternal salvation. He becomes the Lord of our life and we are saved from eternal separation from God and have the blessed hope of one day seeing our Saviour face to face in heaven.
Have you put your faith in the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ? If not, what’s stopping you? Give us a call today to find out how you can KNOW that you are going to heaven.
This is our message and this is our purpose at Living Waters Bible Camp.
Service to Jesus Christ
Our relationship with God doesn’t stop there. If you have made that commitment to make Jesus Lord of your life the Bible says we are “as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart” (Ephesians 6:6). As His servants we are to serve Him. Because Jesus sacrificed Himself for us, we are now to live our lives as a “living sacrifice to God” (Romans 12:1). At Living Waters Bible Camp we desire to train and equip believers to prepare them to serve their Lord.
That explains Why We Do It. Now find out…
