Our Speaker: Marci Wollen 

Marci serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at New Covenant Bible Church in St. Charles, Illinois. During a prolonged season of anxiety in her twenties, the Lord deepened her understanding of who He is through His Word. As she studied Scripture, she grew to love seeing Jesus fulfill every promise from Genesis to Revelation. Marci is passionate about helping women know and love God through the study of His Word.

Marci and her husband, David, have been married for 22 years and have three children—Elly (15), Hannah (13), and Zac (7)—along with a goldendoodle named Roux. She enjoys gardening, reading, pickleball, and spending weekends cooking side-by-side with David.

Accommodations

Living Waters provides quality dorm-style accommodations. Rooms sleep up to 12 in sturdy bunk beds (bedding is not provided). All rooms have electricity, tiled floors, heat and air conditioning. Most rooms include a bathroom while a few are a short distance from a bathhouse. If you’d prefer private or more comfortable accommodations, please contact Westby House Inn (608.634.4112), Old Towne Motel (608.634.2111), or Central Express Inn (608.634.2950).

MEALS

Living Waters volunteers will prepare and serve delicious meals specially designed for the Ladies Retreat. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies or special needs when you register! Please notify us of your needs at least two weeks prior to the event. For those who have indicated a need, there will be a gluten-free option at every meal. 

Babies

Nursing babies under 6 months are welcome. Please specify on our registration to allow for adequate housing.

• Pickleball tournament—Join us for the First Annual Ladies Retreat Pickleball  Tournament. All skill levels are welcome for an afternoon of physical activity, competition and fellowship.
• Thrifting trip to Viroqua and Westby – Find some hidden treasures at local thrift stores.
• Sourdough Discards – “What do I do with this little piece of sourdough bread?”  If you’ve ever asked this question, come and learn about some yummy things to make with your sourdough discards
• Tree Climb – Enjoy the thrill of climbing 75’ up a towering pine and as you climb consider the sure foundation that we have in our Lord and Savior.
• Mosaic Crochet – Learn the art of mosaic crocheting.  Basic crocheting skills are suggested.
• Intro to Homeopathy— Every good and perfect gift comes from God, the author of the natural medicine of HOMEOPATHY. This introductory class will give an overview of the powerful provision that can be found in this 200-year-old practice that continues to provide affordable, safe healing around the world for the impoverished to royalty. Come hear about God’s creation of restorative homeopathy.

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction is back and we need auction baskets and willing bidders.  Think variety and creativity as you build an action basket:  Time with family, Service of others, Hobbies, Snacks, Devotions, Quiet Time, Intentional Moments.  Drop your auction basket off during check in and let the bidding begin.

This year the auction funds will be split between One Way Ministries from Aurora IL and the Living Waters camper scholorship fund.  The funds for One Way Ministries will specifically help the ministry update some of their kitchens and meeting areas.  For more information about One Way Ministries visit their website: https://www.owm.org/ 

bRING A FRIEND

Bring a friend with you to camp. When you register you will be asked if you have housing requests. Add the name of your friend and we will do our best (can’t promise) to put you in the same dorm room.
