As the year 2015 draws to a close, we look back on all the wonderful things God has done for us, and through us. God is transforming the lives of campers and staff, and it’s exciting to be a part of that. Reflecting back on the year we can see all the wonderful blessings God gave us. “Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.” Psalm 107:43

This year Living Waters hosted a total of 3,871 campers. That’s enough people to fill 74 Greyhound buses! Our 3-6th Grade Kid’s Camp #2 maxed-out capacity this summer, breaking the all-time record with 100 campers. Including the staff that week, the kitchen was serving about 180 people for each meal. That means that the volunteer dishwashers cleaned approximately 3,000 plates by the end of the week! (And that doesn’t include all the rest of the dishes!) We are very grateful for all the great help we got this summer. Over 240 people gave a whole week of their time to volunteer at camp this year. It is encouraging to see just how many lives were touched by camp ministry in one year alone, and even more encouraging to be directly involved by serving here. Whether you are a financial or prayer supporter, or a dishwasher or summer camp teacher, we are very grateful for your involvement here at camp. God has blessed us with an abundance of support and volunteer help, and what He provides is more than sufficient. “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

If you would like to be a part of LWBC’s ministry, there are a range of things you can do to contribute. There are a number of financial needs, as well as prayer requests and volunteer needs. Remember: Camp isn’t just a summer thing! We’re working and serving year-round, and if you’d like to donate or volunteer please visit our website or contact BrantHougas for more information.
