Looking OUT the window, it is evident that spring has arrived at Living Waters. The maple tree sap is running, birds are singing, the dry wash is full of melting snow and registrations for summer camp keep coming. It all looks very normal. However looking IN the windows at camp is a different story…dorms are empty and the dining hall is quiet.
In 50 years of ministry Living Waters has never experienced a national crisis like this. Almost all of our spring guest groups have been canceled, promotional events postponed and the volunteer training is being moved online. Camp is strangely quiet. Strange and quiet have become the new normal.
For the time being, Living Waters is helping to fight the Coronavirus by curtailing our programs until we know more. We’ll soon know if this shut down is to be extended into the summer. The safety of guests, staff, and our community is our top priority. We still hold out hope to host our Creation Conference and that Summer Camps can continue unhindered. However, if some or all of our events are canceled, please know that we will work with our guests with regards to camper fees, refunds and rescheduling.
Many, would be guests and campers, are asking us about our cancellation policy. This is the statement currently posted on our website:
We appreciate your trust in us as a ministry. During these uncertain times many have asked about our cancellation policy. When registering for summer camp you will be asked for a $50 deposit. If you choose to cancel within two weeks of an event, the $50 deposit will be withheld. In the event that camp chooses to cancel, we will refund your full payment. If camp must be canceled due to government regulation we will refund your full payment but would ask you to consider a donation to support the ministry.

In the midst of overwhelming uncertainty, we know that God is faithful. For 50 years He has sustained this ministry for His glory. He is not surprised by any of this and He has the power to see us through.
