When Jesus washed the feet of the disciples, do you think they said thank you?  The God of all creation is on His knees washing your feet…what do you say?

When you get what you deserve there is no need to say thanks.  When you own a tool you don’t have to thank anyone when you use it.  When you pay for something, you don’t need to say thank you when you receive it.

Saying thank you is a humble place to be.  When saying thank you, you acknowledge you just received something you did not deserve.

The God who created us and owns us sent his Son to die on the cross to buy us back.  What are we able to give back to God?  Everything we have already belongs to him!  The problem with receiving something you do not deserve, and cannot afford, is there is no way you can repay that gift or even show adequate gratitude.  All you can do is humbly say “thank you.”

At Living Waters Bible Camp our mission statement includes building Servant Leaders.  It is our desire to train up people who recognize their position in Christ.  People who live their lives as an expression of thankfulness to God.

Working with the volunteers at camp I often find myself saying Thank You.  It is a little like having your feet washed.  It is humbling to be served by these gifted and talented people who donate their time and efforts to further the ministry.

And for those of you who support us through prayer or financially…Thank You.  We don’t deserve your favor, but we greatly appreciate it and value your continued support.

“I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.  Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:3-6
