During this time of self sequestered solitude I’ve already covered everything on my “to do” list. Looking for things to do with family members I pulled out a 1,000 piece puzzle and reluctantly spread it out on the table.
I enjoy puzzles because of the feeling of progress and sense of accomplishment when it is done. Well, I spread this puzzle out 4 days ago and it only has a dozen or more completed pieces so far. I now realize that I like to COMPLETE puzzles but I don’t like to START puzzles. Starting a puzzle is a frustrating process. For every piece you pick up and look at there are nearly 1,000 pieces to check against it. It is a tedious process.
These uncertain times feel a lot like a puzzle. There are so many variables before us. We don’t know how long this coronavirus crisis will last or how it will impact our lives. We want to make decisions and put some pieces together but right now we don’t even have the big picture to work with.
At camp we are anticipating a full summer of ministry concluding with an epic celebration of our 50th anniversary! We would like to move forward with plans but are unable to plan effectively at this time. Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord’s direction in how to proceed.
As of right now we must anticipate a normal summer camp while planning for other contingencies. We would ask that you would do the same. If you are thinking about sending a camper, please register today. If you are coming as a volunteer please expect to be here as normal. If you are a faithful donor, please continue to contribute. If you are a prayer warrior, please pray for Living Waters.
As we get more pieces of the puzzle put together we will keep you posted on changes and updates.
