The Living Waters Bible Camp Board is pleased to announce that we have selected Ivan (pronounced Ēvon) Munguia to be the next Executive Director. We believe God has guided us throughout this process, including our final decision. We’d like to thank each of you for your prayers for us! We appreciate it very much!

We would like to introduce Ivan to you. Ivan and his wife Laura live in Guadalaraja, Mexico. They have five young children, three boys and two girls. Currently, Ivan works as a Senior Software Engineer. From 2006 to 2009, Ivan attended Emmaus Bible College where he focused his attention to gain as much useful training for future ministry as possible. In 2007, Ivan served as an LWBC summer staff member. He returned in 2013, along with his wife and children, to serve as a summer staff member. He has a heart for ministry and discipleship. Ivan and Laura have been involved in church planting and are actively involved in their current church. Ivan preaches and teaches regularly, is involved in youth ministry, Bible studies, discipling and camp work.

There are things we still have to work through yet. The biggest challenge is immigration. We have begun to seek legal counsel to help guide us through the process. In today’s environment, this appears to be difficult but we are trusting God to allow the application to go through smoothly, so Ivan and his family can receive their required visas. Until the visas are issued, no start date can be set. While Ivan is waiting for his visas to be approved, he will use this time to raise financial support for his family. Once Ivan arrives at camp, he will be the Executive Director in training under Dennis for his development. We are expecting this transition and training to take up to 2 years. This allows time for Ivan to learn and experience camp, meet people and become better acquainted with the ministry. When Ivan is ready to assume the Executive Director role, Dennis will move into a new role at camp.

We value your continued support, both financially and in prayer, as we move forward. God continues to bless and use the ministry of Living Waters Bible Camp to impact people’s lives. It has been a blessing to see His faithfulness to camp for almost 50 years.
