Do you ever have those moments where you open the refrigerator door, filled with food and exclaim, “I have nothing to eat!”  Or, do you ever open a closet filled with clothes and say, “I have nothing to wear.”  We all have moments like these.  Times when everything I want I don’t have, and everything I do have seems lacking.  When this happens there are a couple of ways we can choose to react.  First, I can order food from a restaurant or run out and buy a new article of clothing (probably a fourth pair of jeans).  Second, I can make due, be grumpy about it, and think about other people who have more choices than I do.  Or third, I can open my eyes and see what is truly in front of me and choose to be grateful for what I do have.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Always be joyful.  Keep on praying.  No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
