Hebrews 12:1b-2b “… and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
In today’s culture there are many distractions…the verse above reminds us to run the race that is set before us with our sights fixed on Jesus! The goal of any race is to finish strong. It isn’t always easy, but we should not grow faint in the work of the Lord.
This fall we continue to run the race by serving groups, preparing for winter ministries, speaking at churches and special events, working on program projects, and trying to enclose the two new cabins before the snow falls!
Perhaps you felt overwhelmed by all the voices on Giving Tuesday. I know I did. At Living Waters, we try not to add to the noise but rather quietly serve the Lord and let our needs be known to those who partner with us. To finish the year financially strong, we are praying for God to send mighty servants like you to help with these end-of-the-year needs.
· $11,750 —Camp Excellence: to keep camp looking nice.
· $22,800 —Worker Gifts: to care for our staff families serving here.
· $28,000 —Building Fund: to finish the two new cabins.
If any of these projects prick your heart, please pray about how you can help either financially or by volunteering your time. Both efforts go a long way! Regardless of how the Lord leads you, please pray the Lord will provide for the needs of the ministry at camp!
