Last Friday night, 92 dads and sons entered the valley with high expectations. A full camp bustled with activity as families started their woodcraft project, visited the camp store for a late night snack, and enjoyed the winter activities. Many fathers say that our annual event allows them to have a special time with their son and it is a highlight of the year.

Our speaker, Dr. Larry Guthrie, connected with both the dads and the young guys by using engaging stories from nature. Stories of eagles, knives, and fires kept everyone on the edge of their seats!

A broomball tournament and a paper airplane flying race added just the right amount of competition to the event to keep men and boys thrilled.

Here is a what a few campers said was their highlight of the weekend:
“Fresh challenges from the Lord.”
“Great time in God’s Creation!”
“I was challenged to find areas in my life to give up to the Lord and increase my trust.”
“My son and I had a great experience at camp hearing about Jesus and praying together.”
“God is first here, as it should be.”
