Reflections from the Director
In planning Girls Camp this year, it was on our hearts to focus on “hypocrisy.” Girls in this day and age are bombarded with so many lies that tell them who they should and shouldn’t be. We wanted to take the week to help them understand that with God’s help they can take off all the “masks” they have been wearing and be the person God created them to be. We focused our class time, chapel time, and even our activities around this theme to help them further understand the importance of living without masks. One of the highlights of the week was our formal Masquerade Banquet. The girls wore actual masks that they had make earlier in the week and at the end of the evening we had a ceremony where we removed their masks and gave them each a verse to help them remember that with God’s help they can be who He wants them to be. We are very thankful for how the Lord worked in the staff and the camper’s lives during our week!
